Orlando Wins Chapter of Distinction Award

Chapter recognized for exceptional accomplishments

In an exciting awards ceremony Tuesday evening, May 20, at the Windham Anatole Hotel In Dallas, Texas, members of the Orlando Chapter STC were honored with the highest chapter award in the Society for Technical Communication: CHAPTER OF DISTINCTION!

The chapter achievement award program recognizes chapters for exceptional accomplishments in meeting STC goals. The awards not only acknowledge that the obligations of a properly functioning chapter have been met, but that the winning chapters have performed well beyond expectations.

The award program recognizes, in a visible and meaningful manner, chapters that demonstrate outstanding, innovative, and sustained performance in advancing the goals of the Society.

Only one Chapter of Distinction award is given in each chapter size category, for a total of six in all of STC.

The Society for Technical Communication is the world's largest professional organization in its field with over 20,000 members in 152 chapters worldwide. STC members work as technical writers, editors, illustrators, managers, educators, translators, and other communicators who make technical information understandable and available to those who need it.
