A Report from STC's Special Needs Committee

Session Description:
This panel discussion focused on needs of persons with disabilities,
the history and goals of the Special Needs Committee, and a report on the
committee's work to date.
Note: Skinner presented
an overview on the formation of the Special Needs Committee (SNC), along
with its charter and a summary of its accomplishments in its first year.
Vais discussed mobility restrictions. Malcolm addressed hearing impairments.
Voss focused on the ethics of special needs. Notes are not available from
these presentations, since I was a presenter. However, slides from two
of the presentations (Malcolm and Voss) and .pdf files of the papers published
in the Proceedings are available (see below), along with a link
to the SNC Web site.
